Clinton
Overcome
Near the end of his remarks, President Clinton started to turn when he
spoke of also being criticized for being too young and inexperienced.
You could finally see the connection to Barack in his eyes.
Then came the astonishingly compelling Kerry--how did we fail to elect
that great man? How?
Then Beau Biden. What parent wasn't moved to tears by that son's
tribute to his father?
Yeah, we were so moved in the Pepsi Center we seemed to give Joe Biden
a quiet welcome. We wanted to shout and cheet but after the beautiful
video about our veterans, the powerful female Major, and then Beau, we
were overcome, plain and simple.
Overcome.
This ticket is extraordinary. I cannot believe I am witnessing this.

Garlin Gilchrist of SuperSpade on Biden
Kickin’ it earlier today in the Big Tent with Garlin of The SuperSpade aka Black Thought at the Highest Level, I asked him about Joe Biden’s speech tonight. He had some interesting comments. He’s not too bothered about Biden’s loose cannon ways.
They’ve got some great realtime coverage over there in addition to some analytical opinion. Let me fix ya a plate:
The apples doesn't fall far from the tree...
On a personal note-
I'm sitting at our dinner table feeding infant Future Esquire. A beaming smile comes across his face and he starts to clap his hands towards the T.V. That's when I noticed President Clinton taking the convention floor.
Like father; like son. And I couldn't be prouder.
The father found faith in the Man from Hope, now passes to Change We Can Believe In.
Roll Call Liveblog
We're at Montana right now, and it's 1321.5 - 323.5
Unanimous delegations
American Samoa
Arkansas
Delaware
NEW JERSEY: Obama 127.
Update: New Mexico yields to Illinois, who had passed earlier, who yields to New York.
...And here's Clinton.
...let's declare together in one voice, right here, right now, that Barack Obama is our candidate and he will be our president.
Senator Clinton moves to nominate Obama by acclamation!
And we have ourselves a nominee!
Roll Call Vote Happening Now
The first roll call vote of the Democratic National Convention is happening now; though Senator Clinton released her delegates and asked them to vote for Senator Obama, I don’t know how Pennsylvania will vote. My guess is that they’ll vote mostly for Senator Clinton during the first round.
