Eat Student Loan Debt?
Occupy OKC and the overall "occupy movement" has the attention of the local corporate power structure here judging from the sustained, mocking criticism by its public relations branch, The Oklahoman editorial page.
Last Wednesday, the newspaper's editorial page called the movement's protesters "idiots." On Monday, it referred to t-shirt slogans superficially connected to the movement as "garden-variety anarchy." At least three editorial cartoons making fun of the demonstrators have been published (at least on NewsOK.com, the newspaper's internet site) in the last week or so. Is it simple conservative media overkill or real paranoia creeping in?

You will recall that in defending himself a week or so ago against any involvement in an unfolding John Doe probe,
Scott Walker hauled out his Boy Scout experience to proclaim
his virtue.
Gov. Scott Walker says he isn't worried about a John Doe investigation of his current and former aides.
That's because, Walker said, he is a man of integrity.
"I know that throughout my career - first in the Legislature, then as county executive and now for the last 10 months as governor - I live by the standards I got from my parents," said Walker, whose father was a Baptist minister. "Certainly, they got me to the rank of Eagle Scout, and I continue to have that kind of integrity."
How does that match up with his many false statements so rated after vetting by
PolitiFact - - the most by any Wisconsin politician this year?
Fitzgeralds, Worried About Student Votes, Schedule Hearing Out Of Ethics Concern

The Legislature's Leading Fitzgerald brothers, nervous that student ID's may become valid as Voter ID's through some trick with official stickers engineered by the non-partisan, judge/schemers who make up the Government Accountability Board, have
scheduled a legislative hearing to look into this clearly unacceptable possibility.
It may be that to vote in Wisconsin next year, college students must bring to the polls the 'free' (read: $28 state ID), and:
Color photos of at least three of the following - - Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, Glenn Beck and Robert Welch, Jr.; a copy of
Atlas Shrugged, (hardbound preferred, and printed in the USA), or, alternately,
Surviving The Coming Crash With Rental Real Estate and $5,000 Gold; a copy of their high school diploma, at least one hall pass from junior high school, a copy of their elementary school class photo, and, of course, their birth certificate - - certified, notarized, bronzed - - and make sure it's the one with the footprint.
Meet the NRA board of directors; Not exactly your average deer hunters
The National Rifle Association works hard on its image.
They'd like you to imagine that the NRA's board is made up of people who are primarily interested in hunting, target shooting, gun collecting, and other mainstream pursuits.
But in reality, the NRA leadership is largely a group of hard-core extremists, interested in far more than hunting a few deer. A new website, by the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence, introduces the board's members. You'll be surprised, if not shocked, to learn who they are and what they represent. Here's how the website describes them:
One only has to look to the NRA’s Board of Directors to discover that the organization is operated by a group of individuals who promote racism, misogyny, homophobia, anti-immigrant animus, religious bigotry, anti-environmentalism, and insurrectionism. Some active board members have even had close relationships with brutal dictators in outside nations. Put simply, members of the NRA leadership no longer make for polite company.
