Immigration Law: How Alabama Legislators Voted On HB56

A few days ago on facebook, a friend raised the question of who, exactly, voted for the Beason-Hammon Immigration Law, or HB56. Since pulling the information out of the Legislature's database isn't easy for most people, I promised to post the House and Senate roll calls for passage of HB56.  Those are below the fold.

Gail Chasey, State Rep. Dona Irwin, State Rep. Rhonda King, State Rep. Roger Magdalena, State Rep. Bill O’Neil, State Rep. Nick Salazar, State Rep. Jim Trujillo, as well as Albuquerque City Counselor Debbie O’Malley, have all endorsed the campaign. They recognize the need to send a leader to Washington, D.C. who will fight to create jobs while protecting Medicare and Social Security.

The Hotline's Senate Seat Rankings include New Mexico's hotly contested Senate seat which is being vacated by Senator Bingaman.

The Hotlines method of arriving at these conclusions is explained as such, "Our complex methodology includes a delicate balance of poll numbers, both public and private; fundraising performance; message resonance; buzz on the trail; and, the key ingredient, our gut feelings.
