Rantings from RoJo
This may become a regular feature. Ron Johnson offers endless opportunities.
He met with the editorial board of the Green Bay Press Gazette, which reports:
His focus remains on repealing last year's health care reforms, President Barack Obama's signature achievement and the largest factor in Johnson's motivation to run for office. But he wouldn't stop there.
"We should repeal the entire Obama agenda," he said.
Has anyone pointed out that Obama is still the president and he is a member of the minority party in the Senate? More:
Younger people have no expectation of having any Medicare or Social Security. So I don't really fear bringing that up as a political issue."
If he and Paul Ryan have their way, young people will be right in having no expectations. But there is no reason for them to think that now.
Like many Republican — and Democratic — lawmakers, Johnson believes the tax code needs to be updated and simplified by eliminating loopholes that allow some corporations and wealthy individuals to pay a lower tax rate than the middle class.

A group of doctors from Portland, Oregon will be in Nashville Monday as part of a national tour in Support of a Single Payer health care system. The group is traveling to Washington, D.C., in their “Care-A-Van” with a simple but loud message: We need a single-payer health system in which the government covers everyone and the private insurance industry is cut out. The doctors will make stops in 26 cities to campaign around the issue, and they want to meet with Barack Obama in Washington to make their case for real reform.
CO-Sen: Barack Obama endorses Michael Bennet
Well that was fast, if not unexpected. The President of the United States has endorsed
Senator Michael Bennet.
From the Denver Post:
President Barack Obama endorsed U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet today, throwing the force of the White House into a Democratic primary battle that officially is just over a day old.
"Families in Colorado and across America need (Bennet) in the United States Senate to help us revitalize our economy, improve our public schools, and pass health insurance reform," Obama said in a statement released by the White House.
"Michael has had my full support from day one and I look forward to working with him in the Senate for years to come."
The direct endorsement of a president still enormously popular among progressive voters is perhaps the biggest hammer that national Democrats can bring to Bennet's primary battle against former House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, and they wasted no time in wielding it.
Thank you, Jimmy Carter

This stadium is hushed during this documentary about Barack
Obama. His is an American story. Yes, there are many things from
FISA to his lack of willingness to take on the financial industry but
his story is the American story. I look at my three daughters age 40,
38 and 11 and how much they are moved by him. My two oldest are women
of color who are Obama. My youngest is enthralled by him. He looks
like so much of her family.
America is changing. The mythology of America was blown up in the
fifties and sixties with the battle to end segregation, and Vietnam War.
Now, it is seems they want the dream of America to be its reality.
So, no matter who wins this election, America has made a turn. I
only hope we can redirect ourselves to save this nation, this earth
and life for my children. We can't give them a heaven on earth but we
can't leave them with this hellhole of environmental and human disaster for them to wade through. `
He is walking on stage ...let's see ... we will talk together later
