According to an email from Eric Griego, his "people-powered campaign" for Congress in NM-1 raised a total of $170,000 this past quarter, and has more than $180,000 cash on hand and $0 debt. "And impressively, we counted 979 New Mexican donors through September," he said. "We have now raised a total of nearly $293,000, the most of any candidate in this race. And 97.4% of the contributions were $100 or less."

"9,810. That’s how many people have decided to own a piece of our campaign to fight for the middle class in Washington," Griego continued. "Through September, more than 6,000 first-time contributors were added in the previous quarter."

Griego's email went on to say:

Eric-Griego-2-cropped-proto-custom_6 This is a guest blog by Eric Griego, candidate for Congress in the NM-1 Democratic primary.

A growing movement of ordinary Americans from all walks of life are marching peacefully in communities throughout the nation to send this message to Washington and Wall Street: We’re fed up with Wall Street greed and Washington inaction on jobs. We need jobs, not cuts, and policies that benefit 99% of Americans instead of only the top 1%. This movement has the potential to change the debate in Washington –- but only if we all stand together.

Today, I stand in solidarity with the 99% and ask you to do the same.
