Bill Richardson to Raise Money in NM for Hillary Debt?
According to ABC News:
Clinton ally James Carville may have called him "Judas" when he endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in March, but that isn't stopping Gov. Bill Richardson D-NM., from offering to raise money to help Sen. Clinton retire her significant campaign debt.
"We've been asked to help. So in principle we are going to help," Richardson told ABC News after addressing members of the Democratic Leadership Council in Chicago at the centrist group's annual gathering. "I think the party needs to come together," he added.

... Gov. Richardson then mentioned that he has seen some hopeful signs of the party stitching itself back together and that he is "going to be involved in a debt event for Sen. Clinton in New Mexico." He later added that the event has yet to be scheduled.
Studebaker convoy to the Democratic National Convention
Early this morning twenty delegates to the Democratic National Convention will leave in five Studebaker automobiles from Chicago for a 1,200 mile trip to Denver. Along the way they will be joined by more cars carrying delegations from Missouri and Kansas.
Although the railroads do not approve of the trip by auto, at every stopping point bands and welcoming committees will greet the delegations. William Jennings Bryan himself will meet the auto train in Lincoln, Neb. with a contingent of Democrats and Republicans to meet the delegations.
Obama Campaign Fills Out Key Posts for the General Election
Most interesting at first glance is
Patti Solis Doyle as the Chief of Staff to the VP Nominee. Doyle formerly served as Hillary Clinton's Campaign Manager. There has been
talk since last month that Doyle would join Obama's Genereal Election campaign.
New hires and current staff members assume leadership roles for next phase of the campaign
CHICAGO, IL—The Obama campaign took a major step today in readying for the general election fight, announcing fifteen new members of the campaign’s leadership team. The staff members—a combination of new hires and current staff assuming new roles will help broaden and deepen the reach of this campaign for change—from field organizing to constituency outreach to voter registration.
Better to give than to receive, or 48 hours in the life of an Obama delegate candidate.
The Democrats Abroad EMEA caucus in Brussels this past weekend was exhausting and exhilarating. As an Obama delegate candidate and elector (I could vote for the delegates) it was an experience I will never forget.

Friday evening started with drinks with the first 14 registrants and the Mayor of Brussels followed by a private tour of the Hotel de Ville.
A beer reception at the historic brewer’s guild building followed for a lively 2 hours with over 100 American expatriates and members of Democrats Abroad EMEA.
