Tommy picks up endorsement from his old buddy, president of the NRA

Trying to shore up his sagging conservative credentials, Tommy Thompson rolled out an endorsement from David Keene,pictured, former president of the American Conservative Union.

Keene says he and Tommy have known each other since school days at the University of Wisconsin, and attests to TT's right-wing ideology.

Not mentioned anywhere is Keene's current role as president of the National Rifle Association.

Where's Tommy on gun issues?  Does he back the "constitutional carry" the NRA supported in Wisconsin -- carry anywhere, anytime, no permits, no training?  That would be a good place to start.
