Maybe Paul Ryan really does want to be the vice presidential candidate.  What else explains this lunacy?

On Laura Ingraham’s radio show, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) agreed with Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) that Social Security resembles a Ponzi scheme. “It’s not a criminal enterprise, but it is a pay as you go system where earlier investors, or say taxpayers, get a positive rate of return and the most recent investors, or taxpayers, get a negative rate of return,” said Ryan. “That’s how those schemes work." -- Washington Post.

The public library is an American institution – but right now, it’s under threat of being transformed from a public service to a for-profit venture. AB 438 is a result of a year-long effort by community residents, local organizations, librarians and labor organizations to save public libraries from widespread privatization efforts.  Recently, the city of Santa Clarita privatized their library services and instead of saving money (as the private stated) it will cost the local taxpayers $12 million, and AB 438 addresses these types of hidden costs.

Rick Perry And Scott Walker: A Matched Pair

I've followed Scott Walker's numerous "False" and flaming PolitiFact ratings, but his colleague in Texas is giving our guy a run for his money.

For example:
Rick Perry on Monday, September 12th, 2011 in the CNN/Tea Party Express debate.
Perry said "the first round of stimulus ... created zero jobs."
We say Pants on Fire.
Three key points

1) Perry has served longer as Governor, so PolitiFact would have more to work with. And, 2) Perry's true-to-false ratio is better than Walker's - -
