Do you think there is anything Sen. Ron Johnson knows more about than President Barack Obama, except plastic manufacturing? (That's assuming he actually knows something about that, having been set up in the biz by his daddy-in-law.)

Johnson, who has no reason whatsoever to think that, believes he could show the President a thing or two.

His op ed columnin the right-wing Washington Times leaves you speechless.

If only Johnson were king for a day --or even president -- we'd all be rolling in clover. Seriously. He believes that. First thing we do, we kill all the lawyers -- no, we repeal ALL of the Obama initiatives, whatever they may be.

He'd especially like to show the Pres how to create jobs -- probably by hiiring prisoners, like he did at his Oshkosh plastics factory, and letting the state pay for their health care.

Read it yourself if you must. Have a barf bag handy.

Ron Johnson, in slow start, has authored only one bill; We should all give thanks

Joe Tarr, writing for Isthmus, says our favorite senator, Ron Johnson, is off to a slow start.

He's been in office almost eight months now, but has only introduced one bill.

But it turns out that's a good thing. If his first bill is any indication, we should hope RoJo limits himself to one a year -- or one a term. We'll let Tarr tell the story:

The bill Johnson introduced would forbid U.S. agencies from implementing any new regulations until the unemployment rates drops to 7.7%.

In a press release announcing the legislation, Johnson's office wrote: "According to the White House, we're now into the third year of the Obama 'recovery.' But job growth is anemic, and companies are still laying off workers. You would think that Washington would be focused on job creation. Instead, the White House is intent on adding new layers of job -killing regulation."

Andrew Reschovsky, an economist at the UW-Madison's Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs, says that idea "comes out of left field."

Actually, it comes out of extreme right field, but whatever.

Ron Johnson lecturing on the Constitution? Priceless. No, worthless.

This may break some new ground.

Oshkosh’s own, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson will make his way to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to speak in September as part of the annual Constitution Day activities.

Constitution Day, recognized nationally on Sept. 17, commemorates the ratification of the Constitution in 1787 and encourages students to become informed citizens...

“This is an exciting opportunity for our students and the community to hear Senator Ron Johnson deliver his first major address devoted to the Constitution,” said David Siemers, political science professor. “At UW Oshkosh we stress that everyone has a responsibility to learn about and participate in our community. Senator Johnson’s appearance allows our students to hear from and interact with an important policy maker up close, and his speech should increase meaningful dialogue on campus about what the United States stands for.”

Will Johnson will explain his authority to appoint federal judges?

here's what RoJo said in June 2010 during his campaign:
