A Time To Vote

August 27, 2008 by Jack and Jill P...

This began with a discussion in the comments over at Prometheus 6, about Obama, race,  and the whole ‘ I don’t know enough about him’ BS.

A Time to Vote

. . . with apologies to John Grisham.

I try to imagine…that we are all equal
in the eyes of the politics.

That’s not the truth.

The eyes of the politics are human eyes…

…yours and mine, and until we
can see each other as equals…

…electoral politcis is never
going to be evenhanded.

It will only be a reflection
of our own prejudices.

So until that day…

…we have a duty under
God to seek the truth…

…not with our minds…

…where fear and hate turn
commonality into prejudice…

…but with our hearts…

…but we don’t know better.

I want to tell you a story.

Please close your eyes…

…while I tell it.

I guess the Freepi will wet their diapers over this heresy.
Sen. Chuck Hagel: U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel issued the following statement today following Senator Barack Obama's selection of Senator Joe Biden as the presumptive Democratic Vice Presidential nominee:  "Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama.  His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security will match up well with the unique challenges of the 21st Century.  An Obama-Biden ticket is a very impressive and strong team.  Biden's selection is good news for Obama and America," Hagel said.

Sen. Richard Lugar:  Tbilisi, Georgia - U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar made the following statement today en route to Tbilisi. "I congratulate Senator Barack Obama on his selection of my friend, Senator Joe Biden, to be his vice-presidential running mate. I have enjoyed for many years the opportunity to work with Joe Biden to bring strong bipartisan support to United States foreign policy..."

ANALYSIS: How red state Democratic candidates can defeat GOP Bush rubber-stamp incumbents!

Hello Everyone:

I definitely think that Democratic challengers running for the House and Senate in red states can use Bush to their advantage if they are running against a GOP incumbent who has been a Bush rubber-stamp!

I will be using Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn who has been an overall Bush rubber-stamp as an example to illustrate this strategy as far as this post is concerned.
