Back on the Floor

Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been placed into nomination, in the expected process.  The roll call vote has just started.  At the moment we are up to American Samoa. More as the process rolls on.

California has passed.

Illinois has passed. At the moment  a little excitement is going  on because the vote is going on and there's apparently been a little confusion, as they're asking for all the chairs to arrive, and they are currently hunting down Governor Doyle.  Never a dull moment. - Ah, he's arrived and the level of excitement has died down a little.

Convention Floor Liveblog

3:30 There is going to be a full delegation tonight, and the word isn't completely out about what this blogger is doing here. Trying to explain that sitting near the DSL plug is what I am supposed to be doing.

Senator Clinton's name is being put into nomination.

Next to me they are setting the camera and microphone height to fit Pat Waak. It looks like she will be answer to the roll call. I am told to expect Colorado to be called "in the C's". We'll see if American's Abroad and American Samoa get their spots or if they jiggle that around at all.

Senator Obama is being nominated. Anyone want to take bets on the outcome?

Senator Salazar is seconding the nomination. After the jump there will be more including a picture of him with a large animal.

Stonewall Democrats' official list of openly LGBT delegates at the convention

National Stonewall Democrats recently held a press conference to report that there are 365 openly-LGBT 2008 Democratic National Convention participants.  This is an increase from a total of 275 openly-LGBT convention participants reported in 2004.

In a just-released document (PDF) obtained by the Blend, John Marble of NSD  has provided the full list of LGBT delegates, alternates and pages.

See the full list (converted to HTML) below the fold.
