John "McSame" McCain claims that Obama believes he is the "anointed one" to save our country at our hour of need. Yet Senator Obama said last week that this campaign is not about him. It's about us. And pray tell, what did John McSame tell us tonight?

He told us that he's the better choice to be President because he was a prisoner of war. That being a prisoner of war made him love America more, which means he's the better man to be President than Barack Obama ever will be. I've never quite understood that logic, but I guess it's because I'm not a Republican.

McSame also LIED to us tonight. Not just once. Several times. I'll lay out some of the BIG ones for ya:

McSame told us that "I will keep taxes low and cut them where I can. My opponent will raise them."

Karl Rove, as much as I hate to agree with him on anything, is freaking brilliant when it comes to electoral strategy and thinks that Gov. Palin will add 2 or 3 points nationally to the GOP ticket. He may be overplaying that a touch for hyperbole, but he’s right to some extent.

Blue collar America, especially in states like Ohio, Virginia, Georgia, etc might just like the ass-kicking gun toting wilderness mom from Alaska. I can especially see her appeal to male voters in more rural areas, the Nascar Dads that are only slightly below the security Moms in terms of targeting. She is a frank talker, direct on her support for guns and hunting, and her husband is a snowmobile champ. Put those two out in rural areas across the US and they are going to do damage.

There are lots and lots of events we're hearing about during the convention including this one on the 25th.
