Wisconsin Democrats are running an online petition asking GOP Senate candidate Ron Johnson to sell his BP holding and done the proceeds to the Victims Compensation Fund.

Brewers pitcher Yovanni Gallardo is sitting out tonight's All-Star game in Los Angeles -- he hurt his back last week and hasn't played since. Next year’s All-Star Game is in Arizona, and the Brewer’s best pitcher won’t play in that game either, but for different reasons. "If the game is in Arizona, I will totally boycott," Gallardo said yesterday during an interview with the Associated Press . Gallardo is just one of several other high-profile Latin American players who have promised a boycott of the game over Arizona’s ridiculous anti-immigration law.

Russ Feingold's campaign takes note of GOP opponent Ron Johnson's BP stock holding and shameless pro-BP/drilling statements made after the company's Gulf well blowout.

On this issue, Johnson deserves every brickbat available, so I thought I'd post the Feingold news release in full.

Feingold Campaign Statement on Ron Johnson's Big Oil Interests

MILWAUKEE – The Feingold Campaign released the following statement following news reports this afternoon that detail U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson’s investments and financial interests in British Petroleum. Johnson, who has spent much of his time on the campaign trail defending Big Oil, owns up to $315,000 in BP stock.
